Unarmed Security Guard Requirements in North Dakota

If you want to be an unarmed security guard in North Dakota, you must:

  • Be 18 years old.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or a resident alien.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Cannot have prior felony convictions.
  • Show good moral character.
  • Cannot have any mental disorders or defects that will prohibit the performance of duty.
  • Be an employee of a private security company and under supervision from a licensed patrol officer.

Armed Security Guard Requirements in North Dakota

In order to become an armed security guard in North Dakota, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalency.
  • Cannot have any felony convictions.
  • Have good moral character.
  • Cannot have any mental disorders or defects that will prevent the performance of job duties.
  • Have employment from a private security company under the supervision from a licensed patrol officer.
