There are certain security guard requirements that you must fulfill before getting a license in the state of Georgia. Armed Security Guard Requirements

The requirements for becoming an armed security guard in Georgia are:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

  • Have a clear criminal background check.
  • Submit fingerprints.
  • Complete the certified training of 15 hours.
  • Submit valid photo identification.
  • Complete a training course every 12 months to comply with state laws.
  • Also, undergo firearms training.

Armed security guards must register with the state of Georgia.
